Not about love.

Her songs remind me of long hot summer days in Amman, my hometown,
which I have been longing for quite a while.

P.S. I'm in love with Zach's beard.

Facing my fears.

I don't really have any new years resolutions, but something I plan on working on more
is learning to face my fears instead of running away from them, which is what I usually do;
that never resolves anything but often makes things worse.

Arabic quote reads: Too many do we run away from something for our inability to confront it.

Meet Flopsy.

I ripped one of my favorite shirts about a year ago while not following the washing instructions on the label,
I was really upset about it, but never really had the courage to throw it away.

A couple of days ago while sorting out my closet, I found the shirt again, but still no courage,
so I decided to make something out of it as a reminder, and here it is, my new friend bunny, Flopsy.

P.S. for all you non-Arabic readers, the speech bubble reads "Marhaba", that's "Hello" in English.

Night-time cravings.

Oh I would just kill for a piece of those...

I can almost taste the sweet saltiness in my mouth.

Yum.

Here's the recipe if you're in the mood to making yum stuff

6.1.11

Little treasures.

I was on the phone with my mom today, when we started talking about contentment, and how some people might have everything they wish for in the world and more, but still be unhappy and unsatisfied, while others barely make end's meet, but are content and happy with what they have.

This got me into thinking, if I had less would I be content?

My answer would be, if I was surrounded by the people I loved the most, I believe I would.

***Arabic quote translation: Contentment is an inexhaustible treasure***
