One of my first.

While rummaging through an old drawer, I found this piece of paper that I did in nursery. Green and red were always a favorite (still are).

My interview on Slanted Mansion.

I was ecstatic when Siobahn came over a few months ago to interview me for her personal project Slanted Mansion...

Here are some of the photos she took. For full interview go here.

TGIT... phew

Hope you have a relaxing Thursday... I can't express my happiness over this week *almost* coming to an end.

شعر الهوى.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm obsessed with everything hair, I'm always getting into debates on hair and was even called a beard enthusiast by, um, myself.

The night of the Portrait.

Last Friday was The Studio's "Portrait" exhibit... I just love that place, it feels like I'm back in highschool again every time I'm there (in a good way).

If you're in the city (amman) go and check it out, it'll be up for another week.

With my sweet Jumanji and Zeina

Can't remember who's painting this was, or the one below (oops)

One of my fav, by Mothanna Husseini

And a detail from Sandra Dajani's painting...

P.S. One person who would have been the first in line to support me is my dear Isra', but she's out there somewhere doing something that makes me really proud of her instead... Good luck with your journey isgha2o xx

My dears, The Studio's "Portrait" exhibit that was scheduled tomorrow, Friday the 16th, has been postponed till next Friday the 23rd.

Hope you are all safe, and God bless.

"Portrait" exhibit at The Studio

Mark your calendar, this Friday is the opening night at The Studio for their Portrait exhibit.

When? October 16th
What time? 7:00 pm
Where? The Studio

I am really excited about that one (especially after hardly finishing my painting on time).

On da coverrrr.

Look who's on the cover of this month's issue of OC Magazine!!!

It was such a sweet surprise to find that out, since I was told that I won't be appearing on the cover, YAY!!

P.S. Click here to read online.

My Thursday night date.

Thursday nights are usually low key to me, but tonight I spent it with this little man... let's call him mister K for now (if you have any name suggestions, please shoot them my way!).

My sister calls me up at around 5pm today asking if I'd be willing to take care of a little kitty she found abandoned in our garage, I asked her to send me a photo... minutes later I get a photo of a kitten with alien-like eyes (shut-eyed and popping out from its head kind of alien eyes). I kind of freak out but take up the challenge, afteral if we were to leave the poor thing out all night it might not survive.

First thing I did after getting home was run downstairs to where mister K was, I couldn't figure out what was wrong with his eyes; even if he was too young to open his eyes, they wouldn't be swollen the way they were, so I called up a vet friend and asked him what to do, he told me to wipe his eyes with warm water and see if any puss comes out, then prescribed some eyedrops... I did just that, and after a few minutes I couldn't believe all the puss that came from tiny mister K's eyes, I was mortified/relieved/worried, I then put some eyedrops in and an hour later it was like magic, mister K is running around curiously (his eyes are still tear-filled but nowhere near what they looked like when I first saw him).

Even though it's been less than six hours since I met mister K, but that one stole my heart, I think he's a keeper!

Hope you have a relaxing weekend my dear readers.

Yislamoo online store.

Yislamoo just got their own online store. That's where you can grab your own little piece of me. Just go here.

Never been more excited about Eid, this holiday came just in time. Happy Eid my dear readers.

OC Magazine interview.

I was interviewed by Tala; a sweet collage girl a week ago for On Campus magazine.

Check out my interview in next month's issue :)

Happy tune.

The long weekend is just around the corner, hang in there!

Where, what, why.

I have been guilty for not being a regular poster. Lots of things have been going on (good and bad), I've started a new job (on top of my old one) as an instructor at a university, and I've been juggling things all the time. Weekends aren't weekends, they're just another extra two days to catch up on work (but I'm not complaining).

I did take a mini vacation in between (will post about it tomorrow). And I am planning a quick getaway to the beach sometime soon before the weather officially gets crazy.

Two projects are in the talks (So excited about them both, I'll tell you more later).

Hope you readers didn't give up on me yet (yes, anonymous commentator, I'm talking to you!), I'll be back soon (promise).

Slanted Mansion Interview.

Today was one of those days where you keep pinching yourself to believe what's going on...
I was interviewed by the talented Siobhan Frost (pronounced: Shio-Ban).

Ms Frost is the mastermind behind the awesome Slanted Mansion project, where she gets to travel around the world to meet and interview artists, and I was literally blown away after she contacted me for an interview!!

We chatted over homemade banana bread and tea, then took some shots of my newly remodeled room.

Her awesomeness was featured on Frankie magazine, Urban Outfitters, Miss Moss, and other websites...

Today was one day I will never forget. I can't wait to share the photo shoot/interview with you guys!

Holmes, new.

The Swedish band Holmes just released a new album, and you can download their new single "I Will Never Be Free" here

The look-alike.

He's always being stopped on the street and mistaken for Ghawaar himself. He secretly likes it, but pretends to be annoyed by it. He works at the local fish market, and eats his knafeh with Turkish tea everyday after lunch. Meet Muhsin.

Yislamoo collaboration, again.

We've done it again. My lululeesh card was a hit that Yislamoo called on me to collaborate again.

Keep an open eye (and I'll post about it when it's out :)

Mashrou' Leila are back.

I can hardly wait for tomorrow to come, Mashrou' Leila are back in town and performing this time at the Roman Amphitheater downtown. YES!

Burka and Shawareb.

Remember this teaser? Well, here they are revealed, and still up for purchase on the walls of The Studio till the 14th of September.

Hope you're having a great week!

Customer appreciation.

This note really made my day that much sweeter!

omg omg omg I've never been as excited as today, The xx are revealing their new album in a few days, and since they are super awesome and know about fanatic fans (such as ahm, myself), they've made their album available for live streaming until the real deal is out.

_________ on board exhibit.

Just got back from The Studio and I might say that I was blown away by the Icannotputitintowords art. If you're in town I suggest you go and check it out, it'll be going on till the 14th of this month...
